a year in review

A year ago this weekend, I did my first market.  I was a little terrified and a little excited.  I didn't really know where to start, I priced my products so I made less than minimum wage on them and the whole experience was a little exhausting.  That being said, I loved it.  I loved visiting with so many cool people and actually meeting the people who bought my wares.

This last year has been a pretty cool year.  My creations are in stores throughout the states as well as on several websites.  I made it through a crazy busy holiday season where my sweet mail lady and I worked hard to send gifts galore out all over the country.  My little pottery wares are in Since that first little market, I have kept busy with markets that have become a lot less stressful.  They've become a fun way to meet local artisans but they've also become a perfect mother daughter activity with my girls.

This weekend? I'm going back to my first market.  It's one of my all time favorites because it is outside on a beautiful farm, close to home and most of the vendors are from my little town.  The best part?  The free range chickens that keep you company and the yummy concoctions that their barista makes.  But more than that, it kind of feels like going home.

I am grateful for all of the people that have supported and pushed me over the last year of growing this little business of mine. I'm grateful for my mentors that have taught me so much, my sweet girls that have been my constant cheerleaders and all of you that have encouraged and supported me when a year ago - I would have never thought I could have done something like this.

Next month, more growth is coming.  I have been saving and saving for the next big upgrade and it is finally coming. I've always been a fan of crazy and wild dreams that seem so out of reach.  And despite my crazy dreams, this dream is so wild and crazy that I wouldn't have even thought of it a year ago.  Stay tuned.  big things are coming!
